About the Project
The surface parking lot at 55 MLK Drive in the heart of South Norwalk represents a significant opportunity for high quality development that addresses demands for parking and commercial, residential, and open space in the area and that will generate value for the community. The Agency is assisting the City with identifying a private real estate development partner capable of redeveloping the City-owned parking lot into a dynamic mixed-income, mixed-use, and transit-oriented community. This work is being coordinated with ongoing brownfield remediation projects and improvements to utility infrastructure, streetscapes and mobility.
2021
The Webster Lot project began with an RFQ in late 2021 to identify firms to redevelop the Webster Lot with a goal of creating a vibrant gateway to South Norwalk.
